And then there’s that snowpack! As of this posting, snow continues to fall at record levels and the stats are pretty similar throughout Truckee-Tahoe. The resort’s challenge now is to dig out and dig into the details of hosting the Tahoe Palisades Cup in February. (Note: Thanks for your patience as they prepare for the festivities that will be viewed from around the world!) February 2, 2023 – Sonoma Cutrer
Your evening will begin with a welcome toast featuring, Sonoma Cutrer Russian River Valley Brut Rose as you board the tram and head to High Camp. Family style communal seating will greet you as well as an appetizer on the table as they start your dining experience. Your meal will be paired with a selection of Sonoma Cutrer vintages carefully chosen by their team and chef. They promised an epicurean adventure to remember. Please note that seating is family style but served as a 4-course plated dinner.

March 17, 2023 – Good Wolf Brewery and Lead Dog Brewing
As their website says it best: No longer does one have to be a “wine person” in order to hold a glass with their pinky up and say, “Mmm, the fruity notes really compliment this Arugula salad.” You can do that with craft beer!

Be a part of the head-to-head battle of Lead Dog & Good Wolf as they give it their best shot to win your vote in a “who paired it better” dinner! Truckee-Tahoe’s real estate market continued as a coveted destination, particularly for Bay Area residents. In 2022, a whopping $1,884,813,461 in sales volume representing 1,247 transactions conveyed. Comparatively, the 2021 market experienced a record $2,473,350,567 in sales volume with 1,757 transactions, alas a delta between 2022 and 2021 sales volume of $587,437,106 and a 24% reduction in closed transactions. However, the 2022 median price increase was 16% across all markets. Alison believes this reduction in sales volume and transaction counts are simply due to limited inventory in 2022. Buyer demand is higher than available product.

Regardless of the media’s perception of the national real estate market, including the impact of higher interest rates, U.S. economic issues and international factors, Truckee-Tahoe’s real estate market demonstrated 2022 stability. Prices in nearly every neighborhood increased, albeit some modestly. Days on market essentially doubled, averaging 25 days. Property is still being absorbed faster than pre-Covid 19 levels.

We have moved into a “new” normalized market and expect very similar results in 2023 – modest price increases and limited inventory with interest rates beginning to adjust positively for the consumer. Strategic product pricing for sellers will be key. The snow is here to stay for an epic winter and Lake Tahoe will be stunningly beautiful this summer.
