BIGBLUEgrass Concert

The “BIGBLUEgrass” concert is a fundraiser for Sierra State Parks with tickets priced at $10 – $40. With your tax-deductible donation, you can experience some of the top string bands on stage and tastiest brews and wine, too. Bring your low-back chairs and enjoy the tunes of Truckee School of Music, Josh Brough String Band, Broken Compass Bluegrass and Ismay.

Truckee Brewfest

The Truckee Optimist Club continues to host ‘must-not-miss’ events throughout the year raising over $100,000 annually to support local causes. And every year, they invite locals and visitors alike to their Annual Truckee Brewfest.

This year you will have the opportunity to vote for People’s Choice awards for your favorite craft brew and your favorite home brew in each of three categories: Malty, Hoppy, and Other. Come prepared for a great time as the breweries and homebrewers pull out their favorite flavors and persuasive personalities to earn your vote. Enjoy great music, cool brews and scrumptious food, too!

Lake Tahoe Triathlon

August 26-27, 2023
Later this month, Triathletes from all over the world will compete in the Lake Tahoe Triathlon, and you can too. Whether events like this are on your ‘bucket list’ or not, you can compete or spectate in one of the most spectacular settings on the planet.

This annual event is open to the novice to the most advanced with youth to senior categories for the time of your life.

Climb “The Face”

All Summer Long!
You may have skied it, now you can climb it. This summer, you can learn to navigate Palisades Tahoe’s most iconic rock face – on a protected climbing route. Following permanent steel anchors and cables, and connected to the rock 100% of the time, adventurers can reach the peak of Tahoe Via Ferrata with professional mountain guides by their side.

Tours vary during the day with two to four-hour private or group options. You should certainly book ahead of time as this adventure is one of the coolest things to do at one of our favorite spots to play!
