Build a snowman. Take advantage of El Niño now while there’s tons of snow to build a whole family of snowmen for your family and future visitors to enjoy.
Go snowshoeing. Most of the ski resorts have developed some trails for snow shoeing for all ages. Close-by, Alpine, Squaw and California Northstar have rentals available throughout the winter months. For an experience of a lifetime, sign up for a Moonlight Snowshoe Tour through our friends at Tahoe Adventure Company.

Soak in natural hot springs. Forget the cold and get into Mother Nature’s hot tub among the pines at Sierra Hot Springs. It’s a short drive from Truckee and worth every minute!
