Calling all snow hounds, measurable snow is forecasted for this weekend! Changing of the seasons is upon us, holidays are right around the corner and before you know it, we will be skiing on the mountains we love. So we decided to give you a little “tune up” before the season is in full swing. Enjoy and think snow!
Passes
Squaw and Alpine Meadows still have some great deals on passes, starting at only $439! Sugarbowl, one of Elder Group’s favorite. Less crowds means more time on the slopes! Their passes start at $249, but prices go up after this weekend. Northstar Epic pass starts at $499 with access to Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood.
Truckee Ski Swap
November 8th from 11am – 4pm at the Community Recreation Center. Back for a 31st season with a wide variety of new and used equipment, accessories, clothing and miscellaneous winter gear for the entire family! Come join the fun and look for bargains. Local reps from ski shops and resorts will be on hand to answer your questions. Nothing is worse than hitting the slopes on that first powder day and falling behind gasping for air or your legs are burning on the first run. A couple of gyms in Truckee have what you need to get you ready for the upcoming season.

Offers a dryland ski and snowboard conditioning program. Dryland Ski and Snowboard Conditioning is a great way to improve your overall fitness and build stamina for all of the winter activities you plan to participate in.
Classes will begin October 13, 2014 and will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and Saturdays 9:30 to 10:45am
through December 13, 2014.
