Regardless of what El Nino may have left it is coffers for any additional snow in the Sierra this year, ski conditions at Lake Tahoe and Truckee ski and cross country resorts are in prime condition for what may be one of the best spring ski seasons in quite some time. Be it on the slopes, across the trails, or throughout the majestic back county, there’s plenty of snow for all to enjoy.
By definition, spring skiing usually means smaller crowds, lower prices, softer snow and warmer temperatures will into May and then some. And as home to the largest concentration of ski resorts in the country, the High Sierra is sure to please skiers of all levels and interests.

Squaw/Alpine These two resorts have committed to offering “the longest season in Tahoe and will offer skiing and riding into May as long as weather and conditions permit,” according to a recent news article.
