This year there’s two nights of top rated entertainment at Tahoe Donner brings the Eagles tribute band “Desperado” and Elton John’s tribute band The Early Years Band featuring Kenny Metcalf as Elton to the stage on July 2. The next night it’s the Journey tribute band, “Evolution” and U2 tribute band, “Hollywood U2”. All events are held on the Tahoe Donner Driving Range. Come one, come all! This all-American parade starts just east of Truckee High School on Donner Pass Road and continues through Historic Downtown. It starts at 10:00 a.m. so get to the parade route early to claim your spot for this two-hour extravaganza.

As the sunsets over Donner Pass there may not be a more beautiful setting for one of the greatest fireworks shows in the west. Although the fireworks can be seen throughout the Lake area, it’s the West End where all the action occurs and starts around 9:00 p.m.
