Our friends at Grey’s Crossing are hosting this Scramble-style tournament to support the very popular Rocker Memorial Skate Park. Your donation will support their grassroots efforts to support the brand new, state-of-the-art 25,000-foot skatepark in Truckee.

In our last Enews, we promised to provide another favorite recipe from Alison’s kitchen to yours. It’s from HowSweetEats.com which is another one of Alison’s top spots to find delicious delights throughout each season.
Their website describes the next recipe, best:
“The soup is rich and creamy, silky smooth and so delicious, topped with crispy bacon and drizzled with curried brown butter. Deeeeelish.”
Squash Soup with Curried Brown Butter Recipe
Ingredients:
3 slicesbacon, diced
1 sweet onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
kosher salt and pepper
4 to 5 cups cubed butternut squash
4 cups stock chicken or vegetable stock
½ cup heavy cream or full-fat coconut milk
crème fraiche or plain yogurt, fortopping
chopped fresh cilantro, for topping
Curried Brown Butter:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon curry powder
