Stella restaurant in the Cedar House Sport Hotel is hosting a series of wonderful, European lunch lectures, dates below from noon to 2:30 p.m. Join Executive Chef Jacob Burton one Saturday a month from March through June 2014 for a multi-course lunch lecture. Each lecture will focus on techniques, influences and food culture, complete with a dish and wine pairing constructed to showcase the unique nature of the specific French region being discussed.
- April 12th – the theme is Culinary Tour de France. This course will discuss French food, wines, and cooking techniques and concentrate on Northern and Central France: Nord Pas de Calais, Picardie, Paris, Limousin, Auvergne
- May 10th – a terrific theme of Western France: Normandy, Brittany, Loire Valley, Poistous Charente
- June 14th – Trek to Southern France: Aquitaine, Midi Pyrenees, Languedoc Roussillon, Phone Alps, Provence, Riviera

What can be better than a little wine after a great day enjoying the beautiful runs at Diamond Peak resort in Incline Village? This week we have received some new snow and the weekend is looking even better with several feet forecasted for Saturday and into Sunday – and more next week!
Last Tracks takes place on Saturdays – through April – and this season a few Fridays will be added to the lineup. This cool event begins at 4:10 p.m. sharp, but you can pick up your Last Tracks ticket at 2:00 pm to get some runs in during the later afternoon. At 4 p.m., hop on Lakeview Chair, which takes you directly to Snowflake Lodge. The event ends around 6 p.m. or at sunset, whichever comes first. All guests must stay until the end of the event and go down as a group. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
Single event tickets are $34 and include a ski lift ticket valid from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. This weekend will include Wines of South America. There will be tasting of a selected few vineyards of South America. How fun and unique – leave it to Diamond Peak to create such a memorable afternoon!
