That good old-fashioned saying “it’s not over until it’s over” is certainly appropriate for this E-News. Today, we bring you details on how and where to take your last turns of the year and a few fun things to do this Memorial Weekend. Sipping and shopping? Picnic with a jacket anyone? Read on for some fun and adventurous ideas!

From the top of mountains to the shores of our lakes, Truckee-Tahoe welcomes locals and visitors alike to get out and enjoy all that the High Sierra has to offer this Memorial Weekend and throughout the sunny summer months ahead.

Memorial Weekend in Truckee-Tahoe

Ski and Ride Through the 4th of July

For skiers and riders who just can’t quit until the lifts shut down, this is YOUR year to experience the ‘Spring Skiing Capital of the World.’

Both Palisades and Alpine will be open through May 29th, 2023. On the last day at Palisades Tahoe, it’s a party ready to happen on the slopes and off. Red, white and blue attire is suggested as the appropriate attire. Alpine will continue to turn their lifts until the 4th of July when big party plans are underway!

Here are more important dates from Palisades Tahoe:

June Operations:

• The Aerial Tram will be closed from May 30th-June 15th.
• The Aerial Tram at Palisades will re-open for sightseeing and activities for the second two weekends in June: June 16th-18th and June 23rd-25th. It will open for daily operations starting June 30th.

July Operations:

• Alpine ONLY will be open for skiing and snowboarding July 1st through 4th.
• Palisades will not be open for skiing and snowboarding, but the Aerial Tram will be open for sightseeing and activities.
• The Village at Palisades Tahoe will be open daily throughout the summer.

Made In Tahoe Festival – Benefit!May 27 & 28, 2023 11:00 am – 5:00 pm Village at Palisades Tahoe It’s the annual “Made in Tahoe” festival at the Village at Palisades Tahoe, and it’s free! Made in Tahoe offers an impressive assortment of local artistry for a perfect memento or gift for your Dad or Grad in June! Enjoy a full day while you sip on local brews, nosh on exceptional cuisine and savor the sunshine and performances by talented bands from around the West.
