Rhythm – “ a strong, regular, repeated pattern of movement or sound” – embodies us all. We have our personal rhythm, a family rhythm and a community rhythm here in Truckee-Tahoe. This Issue of Home Base Handbook is about helping others whose rhythm has undeniably changed. Elder Group Partners With Tahoe Food Hub’s “Feed Your Neighbor” Program

Tahoe Food Hub has built a food system that supports regenerative and sustainable farming practices to increase access to organic and natural food from farms and ranches near North Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Food Hub’s “Feed Your Neighbor” program provides a Giving Box of fresh fruits and vegetables to laid off Food and Beverage employees and their families who are experiencing financial difficulty. Elder Group will donate up to $3,000 in matching funds to the “Feed Your Neighbor” Giving Box program. Here’s Susie Sutphin, Executive Director, with Desmond and Alison, explaining this program. A Giving Box for 1-2 people is $20, a Giving Box for 3-4 people is $30. If you would like to donate please reference the Elders or Elder Group to ensure a match.
